談到日式細膩守備的風格，前中日龍捕手小田幸平表示，那是長年累積的練習，才會給人這樣的印象，「重要的是還是要走出自己的風格。」
小田幸平認為美國、南韓及台灣都比較屬於攻擊式的棒球，是跟日本比較不同的地方。他表示，「台灣跟日本選手，大部分是力量的差別，在台灣往往看到日本教練就會想向他們學短打、做戰術等，其實應該不只是學這些，而是要找出自己的風格。」
小田幸平也很好奇台灣職棒方面是走甚麼樣的風格，並詢問在一旁的曾仁和美國春訓又是何種模式，他也分享道中日龍練習時間長達12小時，曾仁和則說，美國春訓期間，早上會有訓練課程但下午通常都是練習賽。
吉見一起也說，「日本野球盜壘等戰術，是長年累積下來，做了很多練習才會讓人有這種感覺，與美國大聯盟選手比較，日本先天有體格上的差異，所以才會有更多速度的練習，為求勝利，靠速度靠細膩作戰來贏球，這就是日本的棒球。」
